This experiment sought to answer the question of how people understand and know the world around them when they are given ambiguous sensory stimuli. When certain senses are isolated, do the others become more fully engaged?
Each participant was blindfolded and given three minutes to do whatever they wanted with a variety of unknown tools and a piece of ambiguously scented gelatin (smelling of either smoke or cedar).
